About Success Oasis - CBE
The College of Business and Economics (CBE), like other colleges, experienced a tremendous growth in students’ population. Many of these students are requiring assistance in many courses
Some of the CBE students are at risk where their cumulative GPA is between 2.0 and 2.3. These students need coaching and mentoring as well as assistance in many classes to make sure that their GPA does not fall below 2.0
We feel morally obligated to provide our students with all the necessary tools and assistance to assure their success. Thus, In Fall 2013 CBE announced the establishment of two students learning centers under the name of Success Oasis - CBE; one in the male side of the building and another one in the female side.
This reinforces CBE firm belief in proactive approaches to support student learning. The centers will work very closely with the QU learning center to avoid duplication of efforts and share resources, and learn from their success.
Mission :
CBE-Success Oasis act as academic support units for business students as needed , to foster and enhance the quality of education provided to our students.
Goals :
- Improve the academic performance of the students enrolled in the CBE.
- Reduce the failure rate resulting from the students’ poor academic performance in the business courses
