The Department of Public Law is one of the three academic departments of the College of Law, which in association with the Private Law Department and the Legal Skills Departments grants the Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB).
Under the Public Law Department, there are three main disciplines namely; Criminal Law, Administrative and Constitutional Law, and Public International Law. Each of these three disciplines offers number of compulsory and elective courses, which seek to achieve the learning outcomes of the undergraduate program.
The Department also offers a graduate program; Masters in Public Law, which offers a number of courses that provide an in-depth study of the three disciplines of the Department. This program attracts each year a number of law graduates, and practitioners who represent various public bodies.
The Public Law Department has a number of academic professors who represent various legal schools, and have extensive teaching and research experience, as well as a distinguished presence in service activities both inside and outside the University.
