    Student Development Opportunities



    Workshops on time management, stress management, test-taking skills, etc. are readily available for additional student support. These mainly focus on equipping students with tools that can help them elevate their learning process, improve their communication skills and further build their personalities.

    CMED students participate throughout the academic year in various medical conferences in and out of Qatar. They also get the chance to present their research posters.

    Through the Qatar University Medical Student Journal (QUSMJ) that is operated and organized by students, under supervision from faculty advisors and approval from the QU health cluster, students from the health cluster get the chance to publish their research papers, therefore encouraged to become significant researchers.

    CMED students also attend regular sessions that emphasize on the awareness and understanding of interprofessional education and interprofessional collaboration for students and faculty members. Through the Interprofessional Education sessions, training synergies across healthcare majors are created, equipping learners with the team-based collaborative skills and emphasizing interactive learning. Qatar University Health is proud to take part in these sessions that prepare the students to the challenges of the inter professional practice 

    Program learning outcomes

    The educational objectives of the MD program are expressed as competencies, which the graduate should have acquired by the end of the program. These competencies are adopted and adapted with sensitivity to the cultural context of medical practice in Qatar and the Gulf region. 

    Following international standards, specific competencies were defined for the CMED curriculum including:
