The vision of the law branch stems from the vision of the Qatar University Alumni Association, as it is an integral part of this association. To lay the foundation stone for constructive communication, to serve the university community in particular and to serve the nation in general, and community service is not more effective, efficient and effective except by exchanging experiences among its graduates, enhancing communication between each other, and between them and students of the College of Law, and increasing non-academic activities and community participation.
The mission of the branch comes from the mission of the Alumni Association, which works to revive the interaction between graduates of the College of Law at Qatar University, through activities that contain various programs and activities that the branch offers to the association. These programs would bring together professional legal experts, who share their interests and work, in order to enrich their personal experiences and provide mutual support between them and the university in the various legal fields in the country, as well as highlight the importance of the role of communication and gathering to serve the entities of the Qatari society in general and the university community in particular.
In order for the branch of law to succeed, long-term and short-term plans must be drawn up, and in order for such plans to be worked out, the goals that the branch aspire to must be enumerated, and the most important of these goals are:
- Establishing a quarterly legal magazine for the law branch - with the Qatar University alumni association, that enables college graduates to express their opinions, provides enough space for their news and achievements, creates more opportunities for them to participate in what is distinguished in this magazine, and is a reason for people to know and appreciate their work.
- Establishing and organizing quarterly legal seminars aimed at exchanging experiences and opinions on the latest legal developments and enhancing constructive communication, with the participation of legal professors from all different parties.
- Organizing a legal graduate meeting for law students, which is held on a quarterly basis, and aims to enhance communication with students of the College of Law, and to give students the opportunity and motivation by investing in the experiences of distinguished graduates of the College of Law from Qatar University.
- Holding workshops and lectures according to the need and the circumstances that require them, in order to reach the reality of law graduates, to increase the active participation of the branch in the developments of society, and to develop their scientific and practical skills, as well as to establish workshops for non-legal persons aimed at providing them with basic skills in a number of legal materials of interest to society.
