The Deanship of General Studies serves as the cornerstone for preparing students for academic success by offering distinguished and comprehensive programs aimed at developing essential skills and knowledge. The deanship includes the Core Curriculum Program, the Foundation Program, the Academic Excellence Program, and the Testing Center, all of which work together to prepare students for future academic and professional challenges.
Continuing the institutional efforts initiated by Professor Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Kaabi, we strive to promote the importance of collaboration and team spirit in every aspect of our work, positively impacting the student experience at Qatar University. We believe that teamwork is key to achieving our academic goals and fostering an encouraging and supportive learning environment.
The Core Curriculum Program offers a shared academic experience that fosters connections among students from various disciplines. At the same time, the Foundation Program focuses on enhancing students' English and mathematics skills to ensure their academic success. The Academic Excellence Program offers a unique educational experience centered on self-learning and developing research and experimental skills, empowering talented and ambitious students to excel academically and personally. Additionally, the Qatar University Testing Center provides a range of locally and internationally recognized assessments to support the evaluation and development of skills for students and the community, recently earning top recognition from Pearson VUE.
