The Writing Workshop is a two-level program with the purpose of developing learners’ writing, so they can successfully analyze and produce writing required in credit-bearing courses delivered at Qatar University. During the course, model texts will be analyzed for structure and students will learn to produce such genres in line with the process approach to writing.

In all genres, grammar and vocabulary will also be developed through various tasks so learners can write effectively. Throughout the course, critical thinking, independent as well as collaborative learning is promoted through peer-review, text-analysis and group work. Also, Information Communication Technology (ICT) is used inside and outside the classroom to develop learning.
