Elementary Algebra (MATH021)
This course represents the first part of two readiness courses which prepare students for calculus sequence.
The course provides the students with the following:
- Basic skills about real numbers, polynomials, factoring, and rational expressions,
- Different techniques for solving equations (linear, quadratic, rational, factorable equations and equations involving absolute value.
- Different techniques for solving different types of inequalities (linear, quadratic, rational and inequalitieis involving absolute value).
- Basic skills for recignizing equations of line and their graphs.
Pre-Calculus (MATHP100)
This pre-calculus course prepares students for Calculus. Topics include functions and their graphs, exponential and logarithmic functions, solutions of a variety of logarithmic and exponential equations.
Pre-Caluclus also helps students with basic trigonometric functions of any angles, and basic identities and techniques to solve some trigometric equations.
