    About the CDR Exam

    The Registration Examination for Dietitians is designed to evaluate a dietitian’s ability to perform at the entry-level. The examination content domains are outlined below:

    1. Domain I: Principles of Dietetics (21%).
    2. Domain II: Nutrition Care for Individuals and Groups (45%).
    3. Domain III: Management of Food and Nutrition Programs and Services (21%).
    4. Domain IV: Foodservice Systems (13%).

    It is a two-and-a-half hour computer-based test and includes 125 to 145 multiple-choice questions. A score of 25/50 or higher is considered as a pass; while a failure to complete 125 questions or higher within two and a half hours is considered as an exam failure.
