    Graduate Certificate in Legal Studies

    This program targets law graduates who have gained practical experiences after their bachelor's degree, and whose graduation grades do not qualify them to enroll in the Master's Program in the College of Law at Qatar University. It is an opportunity to develop legal information and research skills, and a bridge for the learner if he fulfills all the stipulated conditions to apply for the Master's Program.

     

    Admission conditions:

    The following conditions are required to join the Program:

    1- Applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree in law with a GPA of 2.3 - 2.79.

    2-Applicant must choose one of the two tracks: Public Law or Private Law.

    3- Applicant must successfully pass the admission exam and the personal interview conducted by the Program's Admission Committee

     

    Conditions for Joining the Master's Program after Obtaining the Certificate Degree:

    Any student obtains a Graduate Studies Certificate in Legal Studies may apply for the Master's Program in Public or Private Law after satisfying the following conditions:

    1- The GPA in the Graduate Degree Program shall not be less than 3.2 / 4.

    2- Success in the admission exam.

    3- Success in the personal interview conducted by the Master’s Admission Committee.

     

    Required Documents:

    All applicants for the Graduate Studies Program in Law must submit the following documents to the Admission Department:

    1- Electronic admission application filled out by applicant.

    2- Undergraduate final and official transcript.

     3- A personal statement in which the applicant explains the reason for choosing the Program, the practical experiences he gained after the Bachelor's Degree, and his plans and goals after obtaining the Program Certificate.

    4- Two recommendation letters from his university faculty.

    5- A detailed CV.

    6- A health certificate.

    7- A copy of the Qatari ID, or a copy of the passport for applicants from outside Qatar.

    8- Two identical recent photographs, size 6 × 4, with white background

    9- Payment notice of QR 350 as application fees.

    Student must complete 12 credit hours in one academic year, in which student studies 3 compulsory hours of the Course “Legal Research Skills”, and 9 elective hours in which student chooses three courses as shown below:
