The Institutional Quality Management section provides assistance and guidance to QU Administrative units and Research Centers for the attainment of ISO certification. This is in order to enhance units' credibility by demonstrating that their services meet the expectations of their customers and end users and comply with an ISO management standard; and to serve as a driving force to sustain the momentum of continuous improvement in the processes, procedures and the quality of service provided by the units'. The initial attainment of certification usually takes about six to eight months; after this, surveillance audits occur at an agreed-upon frequency for the remainder of the three-year cycle.
The Institutional Quality Management Section is currently supporting the process of ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) certification, and only facilitating the process of ISO 18295-1:2017 (Customer Contact Centers), ISO 27001:2022 (Information Security Management System), ISO 41001:2018 (Facility Management System) , ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) certifications.
