    Health, Safety and Environment Office


    Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) office provides QU community with a healthy, safe and sustainable environment by maintaining the highest possible standards. The office provides services across the University for related matters such as:

    • Ensuring risk assessments are undertaken and reviewed for all activities.

    • Conducting safety and Environmental inspections.

    • Emergency Management; Fire accidents, chemical spills, etc.

    • Reporting HSE incidents and accidents, and conducting/participating in investigations.

    • Hazardous waste management.

    • Campus sustainability management.

    • Conducting internal audits and inspections on all QU activities and projects, and facilitating external audits.

    • Raising the awareness through conducting training sessions and ensuring the compliance with HSE policies and procedures.

    • Monitor greenhouse gas emissions by calculating annual QU carbon footprint.

    • Drive innovation and change towards circular economy by implementing a Zero Waste programme.

    • Natural resources conservation by encouraging responsible use of energy and water within the campus.
