    Afif Charity:

In the context of its sustainability in providing community services, the Community Service and Continuing Education Center launched several programs in cooperation with Afif Charity, in which the Charity covered the financial costs of the trainers in addition to the participant's registration fees. The provided programs are driven to develop the skills of community members, especially those with limited incomes, students, and job seekers. Some of them also address the special needs of individuals. For example, during 2023-2024, several programs were provided, some specifically targeted groups specialized in dealing with the deaf group and communicating with them by offering a sign language program. A design and sewing program was also provided to the housewives category, training them to know the principles, arts, and skills of tailoring and sewing professionally. By the end of the program, and within the initiative's framework, the participants were provided with free sewing machines to practice on. The electronic store program was also offered, encouraging individuals to open electronic stores and introducing them to the processes, laws, and procedures that must be followed to start their businesses.

    First aid

The Center provided free workshops titled “Basic Principles of First Aid " in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation. The workshops were part of the center's passion for educating individuals about public health and safety, familiarizing them with preserving lives, and following proper emergency procedures. The participants were introduced to how to act to save lives in emergencies, adequate handling, how to help in cases of injuries, work to avoid accidents, learn the basic principles of first aid, and how to treat some cases and injuries that do not require specialists from the health sector. In addition, it gives a general overview of wounds, fractures, and burns, how to provide first aid and deal with them, and how to preserve the injured person's life until ambulance personnel arrive.

    Charitable Work Conference

The Community Service and Continuing Education Center opened the first activities of the second training forum, “Charitable Work Strategy in the State of Qatar, Transformation towards the Future," in cooperation with the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Planning Council, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The forum continued for three days during May 2024. The forum aimed to consolidate awareness and enhance the capabilities and readiness of charitable, humanitarian, and development organizations to meet the requirements of activating the charitable work strategy in the State of Qatar and to enable non-profit organizations in Qatar to achieve institutional excellence. The forum served as a compass to guide and enhance the charitable sector's capabilities in designing and implementing strategic initiatives and promoting sustainable approaches. It was based on the principle of community cooperation. This is in addition to numerous programs offered by the Community Service and Continuing Education Center to individuals and institutions in the government and private sectors throughout the year.
