Ceremony Instructions

Graduates can access the most important instructions and guidelines for the graduation ceremony through the below video:

 

 

Photography & Live Streaming

Photography

The Communications and Public Relations Department will provide photography services:

  • Official photos will be taken as graduates ascend the podium
  • For College Ceremonies, taking pictures for female graduates is subject to their request and consent
  • Photos will be sent to Deans' Offices after the ceremony
  • Collection details will be announced via university email
  • Male ceremony pictures will be posted on social media via the X platform.

Note: Receiving the photos for the Distinguished Female Graduates or Distinguished Male Graduates is not possible as photography is exclusively carried out by the photographers of the Amiri Diwan. The media section at the Amiri Diwan will select a limited number of photos and send them for publication in the newspapers

Live Streaming

The graduation ceremonies will be live-streamed:

  • Available on QU official platforms
  • Recordings will be available immediately after the ceremonies and can be viewed by opening the link at the top of the page
  • Female graduates will be streamed from a distance to preserve privacy

There will also be a photography booth in the reception hall for graduates to capture memories with their loved ones.

Note: For everyone's safety, helium balloons are not allowed inside the ceremony hall or anywhere on the event premises.

Not Attending the Graduation Ceremony (Absence)

In case a graduate is unable to attend the graduation ceremony, it is not permissible for anyone else to attend and ascend the podium on his/her behalf to receive the gift during the ceremony.

Graduates (Class of 2025) who were absent from the graduation ceremony can go to the Business Support Office at the Student Affairs Business Services to receive their graduation gift a week after the last ceremony and within a maximum of 6 months from the date of his/her graduation ceremony provided that they present their Qatari ID Card.

If another person is authorized to receive the gift on behalf of the absent graduate, then, the authorized person must present a copy of the graduate's Qatari ID card as well as his/her Qatari ID card and the authorization letter.

Pickup Location:

  • For male graduates: Business Support Office, Student Affairs Business Services, Student Affairs Building (I11), Third Floor, Office No. B423 and A444

  • For female graduates: Business Support Office, Student Affairs Business Services, Student Affairs Building (I11), Third Floor, Office No. A421 and A443

Working Hours for Receiving Gift

Sunday to Thursday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
