Qatar University

Founded in 1977 Qatar University is the country’s major institution of higher education. College of Pharmacy

The College of Pharmacy (CPH) is the seventh college at Qatar University following approval from the Board of Regents under the leadership of the Heir Apparent H.H Sheikh Tamim bin Hama Al Thani. The college was initiated to help meet the country’s growing demand for qualified pharmacists and its creation reflects the commitment of the university and the country towards health education and research and improving health outcomes for its citizens. Planning for this new college began in 2006 with the first student enrolment in September 2007. The degree program is intended to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to graduate competent pharmacists to meet the health care needs of society.

The college currently offers a 5-year Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSc (Pharm), a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) for graduates pursuing advanced clinical training as well as a Masters in Pharmacy (MSc Pharmacy) for students interested in bench research in both clinical pharmacy practice and the pharmaceutical sciences. The College of Pharmacy at Qatar University is the first and only international program awarded full accreditation status by CCAPP (Canada).
