Presenters Guidelines

​The Scientific Committee welcomes submissions of theoretical and applied research papers, full abstracts, summaries of workshops in the field of higher education and general education within the conference tracks.

Conference Language: The official languages of the conference are Arabic and English.

  1. CV and Biography: Please include a 75-100-word professional bio, including a brief description of your experience with UDL. This bio will be included in the conference Program.
  2. Session Information: a separate cover page that must include Session Title, lead presenter (co-presenters) Full Name, Affiliation, Email and Phone.  Please select a title that will offer participants a clear sense of your session. This title will be included in the conference Program
  3. Session Abstract (75-100 words): Provide a brief overview of the proposed session. Your abstract will be used in the conference program.
  4. Session Description (500 words): Your session description should be well-organized, clearly written, and focused on learners, context, strategies, and implications. Session Description must include anticipated outcomes for participants (bullet points) and provide a reference list and
  5. For research papers in Arabic or English, Font type should be Arial, size 14 with line spacing (1.5) and margins (2.5) from all sides.
  6. Submit abstracts in word format only.
  7. Research is subject to review and arbitration by the scientific committee of the conference.
  8. All submissions/documents must be sent to conference e-mail: udl-conference@qu.edu.qa
  9. Session format: 60-Minute Lecture Presentation, 90- Minute Panel Session (a facilitator and 2-3 presenters), 90- Minute Workshop Session Presentation.
  10. Session materials: Prepare and send session materials, including slides and handouts, to the conference e-mail by October 30, 2021.  Ensure that your session materials and any media follow basic standards for accessibility (e.g., videos have close captions; documents are formatted with proper heading structure).
  11. Publications: All full paper submissions will be peer-reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research depth, accuracy, and relevance to the the First Arab Universal Design for Learning conference. All accepted full papers will be published in the Conference E-book and will be submitted to a selected educational journal
