    CCP Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award

    This award recognizes students with entrepreneurial minds who demonstrate exceptional abilities in identifying and pursuing opportunities and coming up with innovative solutions and ideas that creative value for others and the community.

    The awards aim to:

    • Recognize excellence in innovation and entrepreneurship among students
    • Inspire other students to be entrepreneurial innovators by sharing success stories in innovation and entrepreneurship.
    • Promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurial mind-sets among QU students.

    Eligibility

    • Only First year students at Qatar University are eligible to apply for this award as part as their CCP course's projects or assignments.
    • Individuals or groups of individuals are eligible to apply (a group of five students as a maximum)

    The Award

    The designated CCP Student Award Committee will nominate two awards for individual student or a group of students.

    This award recognizes students with entrepreneurial minds who demonstrate a clear ability to come up with creative ideas and initiate innovative solutions to actual problems in any context as part of their CCP courses’ projects or assignments. The awards consider entrepreneurship as a competence of life whose holders can act efficiently upon opportunities and ideas to create value for others.

    Applicants of the award should:

    1. Demonstrate high readiness in detecting problems and taking the initiative in suggesting solutions
    2. Be able to provide creative ideas on how they can contribute to promoting the value
    3. Showcase how their solutions can effectively influence the general environment and add value to others
    4. Deadline for submission to be announced later. 

    Interested students or groups of students must:

    • Fill in the Award Online Application Form.
    • Submit the final product of the achievement/initiative (word document).

      The following subtitles and questions may help you:

      • Defining the existing problem or the needs in the community

      Question: How do you conceptualize the problem, needs of the community? What are its causes, implications, and significance?

      • Thinking about the initiative in suggesting solutions

      Question: What are the ideas, initiatives and solutions chosen to tackle this problem? How did you choose these ideas? What are the approaches/processes of your solutions? What are the resources sustaining your ideas?

      • Showing that the Creativity thinking attributes are achieved: sensitivity, fluency, flexibility and originality.

      Question: What outcomes are innovative about your solutions/initiatives? To what extend your chosen ideas are creative?

      • Showing the high effectiveness of the solutions in influencing the general environment

      Question: What is the impact of your solutions on the community and the general environment? What are the values created on the social, cultural and economic landscape? What are the challenges and benefits of these solutions? How

    • Submit a PowerPoint document describing their innovative achievement/initiative with voice recording on the slides (5 min maximum).
