Office of Student Affairs

Our office’s mission is to provide support, assistance and guidance to all CAS students during their study at Qatar University.

Our services
CAS Academic Advising office is the focal point for any information needed by the academic departments generally, and the academic advisors particularly. Some of the main responsibilities of the academic advising office are as follows:
- Providing the academic department, every semester, with all the information related to students academic status, mainly those who are under academic probation.
- Following up with students who got an (Incomplete grade) and those who are registered under the notation of (Continuing Course) and following up on their registration by working closely with the academic departments.
- Communicating with the academic departments regarding any modifications of the majors’ admission and transfer requirements, in addition to the announcement of these changes to students.
- Following up with students who passed successfully the Foundation Program requirements and TOEFL (or its equivalent); specifically those who are categorized under the clause of (General Arts) or (General Science). We also assist these students to apply for specializations and educating them of the admission and transfer requirements.
- Communicating with the academic advisors and facilitating the tasks of evaluating the student academic plan through the Banner, for courses not used and also any remaining ones.
CAS students ‘affairs office is the focal point for any information needed by the students and is the liaison between our academic departments and the administration offices.
Some of our main responsibilities are as follow:
- Students trips abroad.
- Students exchange program.
- Students complaints.
- Issues related to students grade and exam appeals.
- Building channels of communication between administration and students.
- Students Major, Minor and concentration declaration.
- Processing of applications of students studying abroad or in another college.
