    ​Mr. Jassim Al-Mejali, Senior Process Engineer at Qatar Aluminium Companny Qatalum -‎Qatalum, won the prestigious Oryx GTL Student Award in April 2016.

    The awards celebrated the achievements of the five recently graduated Masters and PhD students, four of whom​ were Qataris along with their dissertation advisers. They also highlighted the importance of building postgraduate education capacity, especially for Qatar’s research.

    The awards ceremony was held at Qatar University (QU) on April 25 2016.

    Ms. Sara Ahmed, a distinguished alumnus of the MATS program won the first prize in the ‘Student Poster Presentation’, Energy and Environment Category at Qatar Foundation Annual Research Conference 2016.

    She is currently doing her PhD at Hamad Bin Khalifa University.

    Ms. Aisha Al-Saygh, one of our esteemed Qatari alumnus working at Qatar Petroleum, won the Outstanding thesis award in the College of Arts and Sciences.

    Mr. Muhsen El Haddad, Lead corrosion engineer at Qatargas and one of the most exceptional students of the MATS program, has won the active student award in the NACE WA&AA Awards.

    He received the award at the“A Taste of Middle East Culture and Our Battle Against Corrosion in the DesertForumCORROSION 2017” on March 28, 2017atErnest N. Morial Convention Center, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA

    Ms. Haneen Abdelrazeq was one of the four distinguished individuals who was presented withThe 4thORYX GTL Student Awards -For the Advancement of Post-Graduate Education in Qatar. The award ceremony was held at“The Abdullah Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Foundation Energy EldersForumon May 9th, 2017” at the Sheraton Doha Hotel, Qatar.

    The Award recognizes outstanding Masters and PhD students in Qatar for their exceptional research achievements.
