    Mechatronics Engineering

Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of engineering, that is becoming the key solution to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0). Smart production has become the norm in nowadays world where intelligent information and communication technology or ICT-based machines, systems and networks are capable of independently exchanging and responding to information for managing industrial production processes. Smart industry refers to the technological evolution from embedded systems to cyber-physical systems. In this context, it is expected that smart systems, smart cities, smart factories, smart products, smart materials and smart machines,   are the future challenges for engineers. There is a need for future engineers to understand smart engineering applications in this context.

The mission of the new Mechatronics Engineering program is to provide undergraduate students with a multi-disciplinary practical education and theory related to the Mechatronics Engineering that leads to professional careers in the country, the region, and beyond. It produces graduates with strong engineering skills necessary for contemporary areas of mechatronics engineering.

    Career Opportunities

Mechatronics engineering is a versatile discipline that offers a wide range of employment opportunities. Almost every industry and every company needs the services of Mechatronics Engineers. The skills gained by the mechatronics engineering students will allow them to work in a variety of fields and be well prepared for Industry 4.0. The program is the amalgamation of the EE, MIE and CSE disciplines.
