The mission of the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program is to prepare students to accomplish strong technical, scientific, and professional skills with the emphasis on life-long learning and high quality research. The program is committed to excellence in master level electrical engineering education and primarily aims to provide students with a strong theoretical foundation, and ethical and professional conduct with the utmost experience in communication and teamwork. Graduates of this program are expected to apply electrical engineering principles to support and to improve the growing economy and industry of Qatar and the region, and to pursue higher-level graduate study.
The total credit hours for the program is 36 credits. Students enrolled in the program are required to complete a minimum of 24 credit hours of coursework and 12 credit hours of thesis. A typical duration of the program is four semesters (two years) and the maximum duration is eight semesters (four years).
