Our team is dedicated to upholding and enhancing the educational standards within QU Health and its member colleges. Our scope encompasses a broad spectrum of activities, including: • Academic planning & program development: this includes oversight over QU Health academic planning and driving new program initiatives. • Curriculum design & enhancement: we play a pivotal role in curriculum development and enhancement, ensuring they are aligned with best educational practices. • Assessment & evaluation: our department is responsible for implementing robust and rigorous assessment, evaluation, and monitoring mechanisms including academic program review and learning outcome assessment processes. • Academic accreditation: we support and follow-up on programmatic and institutional accreditation processes, ensuring full compliance with accreditation standards. • Strategic academic initiatives: we lead and/or support strategic initiatives aimed at upholding and enhancing the quality of educational standards at QU Health. • Faculty affairs: we support the implementation of quality measures related to faculty recruitment, faculty performance review and development system (FPRDS), work achievement and academic promotion. • Academic Policy development & implementation: our department is instrumental in developing, updating, and enforcing academic policies and guidelines that govern the educational process at QU Health. • Common year coordination: our department oversees the coordination of the common year courses and drives the evaluation and continuous improvement in student performance, attainment, and progression. • Instructional design & development: We work with subject matter experts to create and design engaging learning activities for hybrid courses, while applying best practices in instructional design to enrich the students’ learning experience.
