“Environmental Science Center (ESC), Center of Advanced Materials (CAM) and Central Laboratories Unit (CLU) are accredited to International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories) by the American Association of Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). This international accreditation demonstrates technical competence of the laboratory as well as the management system. Our initial accreditation is for the mechanical testing for matrices, such as metallic and, which is valid till June 30, 2024.
Our centers have adopted accredited/validated, USEPA, ASTM, APHA test methods and use calibrated equipment for analysis of samples. Office of quality management (OQM) has established internal audit and internal quality control (IQC) systems to verify the management processes and analysis reliability.
Our centers also participate in proficiency testing programs (PTP) conducted by ASTM, Aqua Check, NIL and inter-laboratory comparison studies (such as IAEA) for independent external evaluation of the laboratory.
