Impact

Speaking about the impact, so far, 597 high school students have participated from 2013 to 2019 and more than 3500 students were impacted through supplementary career support activities at the consortium. The project has nearly reached to 100% of the schools in Qatar and achieved about 96% of participations. There is about 10% annual increase in the health sciences majors’ enrollments at Qatar University (9% in 2013, 19.5% in 2014, 21% in 2015, 37% in 2016, 46% in 2017 and 49% in 2018, and 57% in 2019).

In return, this reflects around 6.5-8% increase in Qatari’s entry to the healthcare sector in 2022. The most recent data reveals around 47.4% of the College of Health Sciences and 59.7% of the QU-health cluster students have been enrolled in this project. In addition, 17% of the enrolled students have chosen careers in natural science and engineering. The satisfaction survey average score is 4.7 out of 5. The rate of annual participations in the project has increased 30% for the past three years.
