Training, Workshops & Seminars 2016

The Social and Economic Survey Research Institute (SESRI) at Qatar University conducted a workshop titled "Analysis of Complex Sample Survey Data" in collaboration with the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research (ISR).

This four day course introduced researchers to the principles and practice of analyzing data from complex sample surveys using either SPSS or Stata. In a mostly non-technical manner, the instructors presented principles of survey design and how survey design features affect analysis methods. Complex sample surveys such as weights, stratification, cluster sampling, and imputation and methods for analyzing survey data with such features were illustrated through examples using an education survey from Qatar.
