    What are the contact details for the Graduate Admissions Section?

    How can I obtain "To Whom It May Concern" document that proves that I am enrolled in one of the Graduate programs?

    A student can obtain it as soon as he/she is admitted in the program from the Graduate Admissions Section.

    When do the online applications start for the graduate programs?

    You can visit the page for the application timeline as the information is regularly updated.

    Where do I find the academic calendar?

    What documents should I submit with my application?

    What are the tuition fees for postgraduate studies?

    Tuition fees for students enrolled in any of the Doctorate, Masters, and Certificate Programs are QR 2000 per credit hour, and QR 1,500 per credit hour for students enrolled in Diploma Programs.

    If you want to know more about the full tuition fees, you should communicate with the graduate office.

    Is there any scholarship for the graduate programs?

    There is NO scholarship for the graduate programs, but the graduate office offers teaching assistant each fall.

    Can I withdraw my original documents in case of acceptance or rejection?

    Yes, you can withdraw your documents by contacting the Registration Section.

     

    What are the available academic programs and their requirements?

    You can visit the academic programs page and see all the requirements for each program.

    What is the language of instruction for graduate studies?

    The English language is the language adopted and Arabic is used in some graduate programs.

    Are there any postgraduate courses in the Arabic language?

    Yes, Master of Art in Arabic Literature and Language, Diploma in Education, and few other programs offered by the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies and the College of Law.

    Can I apply for more than one program?

    You can apply for a maximum of two graduate programs, but admission will be made only to one program.

    Can a student apply for another graduate program if he is dismissed from the program he got accepted at initially?

    A dismissed student from a graduate program is not eligible to reapply to the same program; however, he/she is eligible to apply or join another graduate program.

    At what time do classes usually begin and how many days per week do they take place?

    Usually, classes begin in the evening and the days depending on the credit hours that the student has registered for the semester. For more information, please contact the college of the specified major.

    What is the legal period of study?

    The maximum time duration required to complete the master's degree requirements is Four years.

    Are there any courses available before MBA?

    No, there are not any.

    Does the Graduate Programs offer Diploma degrees for students who did not complete their Bachelor's degrees?

    No, the Diploma programs offered are for higher education after the Bachelor's only.

    Can I apply for a program different than my bachelor's degree specialty?

    It depends on the program you are willing to apply to, and you should be able to meet the requirements for that program. For more information about the requirements, please check the program's requirements.

     

    Does Qatar University offer academic scholarships for graduate-level students?

    No, Qatar University does not offer academic scholarships for graduate-level students.

    How can I apply for a student visa?

    Student can Apply Online for the student visa and upload the Required Documents during the same period of admission application in each semester. Applicants who fail to satisfy the requirements for a student visa will not be considered for admission to QU

    When should I apply for a student visa?

    Can I wait for admission decision to apply for student visa?

    No. The student visa application should be done in the same period of admission application as assigned in the Important Dates page

    Can I have a family visa to bring my family or my dependents to Qatar during my study?

    No. the student visa will not give the privilege to have a family visa or sponsor them to bring to Qatar.

    How can I reserve a room in the QU student housing?

    You may contact the Student Housing Department directly by emails.

    If I applied for Graduate Assistantship (GA), should I apply for a student visa and provide financial supporting documents?

    Yes, you should apply for a student visa and provide the required financial supporting documents.

    I have some questions regarding the visa and other concerns I need to clarify as an international student?

    You may contact the Scholarships and International Admissions Section by email.

     

    How many academic semesters can a graduate student defer?

    Graduate students can defer their study before it begins for a maximum of two semesters.

    When can a student defer from a semester?

    A student can defer from a semester through the Graduate Admission Department only during the 'add and drop' week by filling out the defer application that is available on the website.

    I am currently studying for a postgraduate degree at another university: can I transfer to Qatar University?

    Yes, you can apply as a transferred student to Qatar University. You can find guidance on the  programs page.

     

    Do I need to translate my documents?

    Except for Arabic transcripts, We require all transcripts from higher learning (BA, BSc, MA, MSc for example) to be officially translated to English translation.

    Who should I use as my referees?

    From your previous professors or from your employer.

    If my studies were in the English Language, can I get an exemption from IELTS?

    Yes, but you have to provide the English Proficiency Waiver from your university.

    What are the English competency requirements for postgraduate studies at Qatar University?

    For all Graduate programs, we require 6.0 in IELTS, 520 in Paper-Based TOEFL, 190 in Computer Based TOEFL, and 68 in Internet-Based TOEFL.

    Do you accept part-time student employment at Qatar University as work experience when applying for MBA?

    No, it cannot be accepted.

    Is there an electronic application fee and can it be refunded?

    The application fee is QR 350. This fee is non-refundable.
