    Creative Industries 

    This is an interdisciplinary course centered on discussion of scholarly perspectives, debates and contemporary issues pertaining to creative industries. After an initial exploration of creativity, idea generation and problem solving, students will analyze the conceptual underpinnings of creative industries from cultural industries to cultural economy.  Drawing on cases around the world, students will deliberate on examples from a range of interdisciplinary fields, discuss the impact of digitalization on creative industries, and evaluate the characteristics of creative industries in different countries whilst arguing the strengths and challenges in international context. During the course, students will build written debates, reflective journal, and critiques on the key concepts, as well as making in depth analysis and inventive presentations to convey their understandings.
