Community Service Learning (UNIV 220) Within Social Sciences Package Service Learning is a form of experiential learning that integrates academic study with hands-on meaningful community service activities and structured reflection. This course engages students in a minimum of 40 organized community service hours to meet local community needs and gain a sense of civic responsibility. The course introduces students to the key concepts, characteristics, benefits, and challenges of community service and equips them with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions required to respond to pressing community needs. Students will create an e-portfolio to reflect on their service-learning experience and the impact of civic engagement on themselves, others, and the community.
