DW and BI Project
The project aims to build an enterprise Data Warehouse (DW) that would combine data from different Qatar University data source systems such as: Banner and EBS (E-business suite) and provide a Business Intelligence BI environment that would enable analytic capabilities for analytical driven decision making in Qatar University.
Oracle Upgrade Project
The Oracle Upgrade project is a major project at Qatar University since it will be migrating and upgrading the Database to Exadata, the Middle Tier from HP to Linux and upgrading the EBS to its latest version. This project will enhance the current EBS applications used in Qatar University, and Exadata will provide storage expansion to support applications data.
Oracle Content Management System Project
The scope of the project is to implement a content management system to unify, manage and leverage all types of content across Qatar University. Oracle WebCenter Content, an oracle Fusion Middleware component will be implemented to centralize all content, eliminated redundancy and increase efficiency where the content can be managed, tracked and retrieved easily.
QNREN Project
The Qatar National Research Education Center (QNREN) aims to build, operate and maintain a Research and Education Network throughout Qatar. Qatar University is connected to the QNREN network, which provides high-speed, high-capacity network links to research for Qatar University as well as other educational institutions within Qatar.
QU Mobile Project
Qatar University is looking to extend the university services into a mobile application that will provide students, faculty and staff with useful services in their mobile devices. These services will include Banner Services, Blackboard services,Oracle E‐Business suite services and other services such as maps, news, events, etc.
