Graduation 2020

Guests of Honor

Under the generous patronage of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar University (QU) will celebrate the 43rd Batch (Class 2020) Graduation Ceremony on Sunday 30 May 2021, 10:00 am at QU’s Sports & Events Complex. The Graduation Ceremony of female graduates will be held under the patronage and presence of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Hamad bin Suhaim al Thani, Wife of His Highness the Emir, on Monday 31 May  2021, 10:00 am.

The graduation ceremony is an annual ceremony that celebrates the graduates of Qatar University since its establishment in 1977. This ceremony is a continuation of those ceremonies, in which we celebrate graduates with degrees (undergraduate and graduate studies) over two consecutive days for the main ceremonies, followed by college ceremonies; the first day is devoted to graduates and the second day is dedicated to distinguished female graduates. During the ceremony, safety measures approved by the State in combating the Covid-19 pandemic, including social distancing, will be taken into account. Therefore, attendance will be limited to alumni and senior university officials.

The ceremony will recognize and honor QU graduates of a completely academic year starting from the semester (Fall 2019, Winter 2020, Spring 2020, and Summer 2020).

College Ceremonies

Successive college ceremonies will be held for women graduates following the main graduation ceremonies at the Sports and Events Complex at Qatar University. The dean of the college will honor the graduates (undergraduate and graduate), in the presence of the University President and Vice-Presidents.
