The "Policy Briefs" series is published by the Gulf Studies Center on a regular basis, with the aim of providing a profound understanding on a current issue that affects the Gulf region. The Policy Briefs can be the summary of an internal discussion conducted under Chatham House rules or a document that reflects the opinions of the center experts on a certain issue, which can be between 1,000 to 2,000 words. Occasionally, they can also present policy relevant analysis on developing issues on regional agenda, which may be longer in length. The articles published under “Policy Briefs” series do not reflect the views from the College of Arts and Sciences or Qatar University.
