    General Legal Knowledge Exam


    General Legal Knowledge Exam is an admission exam for the applicants who wish to join Master programs in public and private law. It is organized in collaboration between the college of law and the Testing Centre at Qatar University. It aims to create equal opportunities for all applicants.

    Objectives of the Exam:

    • To measure the applicant's familiarity with basic legal doctrines.
    • To measure the applicant's familiarity with Qatari law.
    • To measure the applicant’s ability to understand, analyze and link laws together.  

    Topics of the Exam for the Master programs:

    • General  doctrine of  obligation
    • Commercial corporations
    • General doctrine of the crime
    • Administrative resolutions, public utilities and Qatari constitutional system.

    Eligibility for the Personal Interview

    • Passing the admission exam by scoring 50% or above.
    • Passing the other evaluation criteria (GPA, Practical experience and university of graduation).
    • The applicant shall reach the required score after combining the result of the admission exam with the outcome of the other evaluation criteria.
    • Reaching the personal interview stage is not considered an admission in the program.

     

    General Rules

    • The exam is held once a year for admission to fall semester.
    • The result of the exam is not valid for use in subsequent years.
