Qatar University (QU) signed an MoU with Qatar Pharmaceutical Industries to enhance joint cooperation in the field of pharmacy. The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohamed Izham Ibrahim, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and Mr. Mansoor Sultan Al-Naemi, Chairman of Qatar Pharmaceutical Industries, in the presence of several officials from both institutions.

The memorandum aims to establish a foundation for collaboration in the exchange of expertise and information, including newsletters, journals, studies, statistics and other data. It also seeks to facilitate joint studies, organize conferences, meetings, training, research, and studies, as well as cooperation in other areas of mutual interest. Additionally, it encompasses collaboration in all scientific, technical, administrative, and research fields.

In a statement, Dr. Mohamed Izham Ibrahim commented, “This smart partnership marks a significant milestone in bridging academia and industry to advance pharmaceutical education and research. The QU College of Pharmacy is committed to collaborate with Qatar Pharmaceutical Industries in drug development and commercialization. Together, we are not only shaping the future of pharmacy professionals but also driving innovation to improve patient care and health outcomes. Today, we unite our strengths to create impactful solutions for a healthier nation."

For his part, Mr. Mansoor Sultan Al-Naemi stated: “We are excited to partner with Qatar University as we both share a commitment to advancing healthcare and improving patients' lives. By combining our scientific resources and expertise, we believe this collaboration will enhance our ability to innovate and bring forward new, life-changing treatments and address unmet medical needs."
