Qatar University’s Graduate Studies office takes precautionary measures in order to fight COVID-19 and to keep safety as top priority.

Commenting on current situation, Dr. Ahmed Al-Aoun, Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies QU said: “In light of the efforts made by Qatar University to reduce the spread of coronavirus and following the precautionary measures taken by the government, we rescheduled the entire time table in order to stop the spread of coronavirus. The office of Vice President for Academic Affairs informed us to cancel the visits and coordinate to reschedule until further notice.”

Al-Aoun added: "The Graduate Office has also adapted culture of working remotely using Universoty’s platforms: (Microsoft Team, Blackboard, Webex) and other different platforms have been utilized, which helps in communication between professor and students. The faculty communicates through emails instead of going to institute.”

We urge the professors and students to avoid going out and stay at home as much as possible during this crucial time the country is going through. As for the part of Education it will not be affected as University has taken complete precautionary measures and made arrangements which facilitates us at home.

“This time period will pass by and we will return stronger than before,” he said
