QU’s Research Support Office achieved, ISO 9001-2015 Certification

Qatar University’s Research Support Office has successfully fulfilled the requirements of the ISO standard and earned the prestigious ISO 9001-2015 certification effective from March 2020.
The certification is in recognition of the commitment of research support management and staff to high quality and excellence in their services that meet customers and regulatory requirements. The certificate is issued based on satisfactory completion of several audits and ensuring that the research support office is in full compliance with the requirements of ISO standard and the statutory regulations of the country.
The stated scope of certification is,” Provision of support to Qatar University research community in preparation and submission of proposals, managing grants and enhancing the quality of research projects.”
ISO 9001-2015 is an internationally recognized as the world’s leading standard that specifies requirements for an ideal Quality Management System (QMS) and has been implemented by over a million organizations globally, to become more efficient and to improve customer satisfaction.
In his remarks, Dr. Mohamed Hassan M A Al-Salem, Director of Research Support at QU said: "This achievement will help us in continuously improving the quality of our services. I acknowledge that the hard work of all the staff of the Office of Research support is praiseworthy, in the process of this success.".
Applauding this landmark achievement, Professor Mariam Al-Madeed, Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies at Qatar University said, “Obtaining the ISO 9001-2015 certification for the Research Support Office at Qatar University is a great appreciation of the efforts towards supporting scientific researches, thus ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuity. Such achievements highlight the importance of scientific research and contribute to the competition in the global rankings of academic institutions"
