Qatar University (QU) Research and Graduate Studies section conduct an Open Day to provide information and respond to all questions for those interested in completing their higher studies. The QU Library also participated in the open day to familiarize attendees with resources, books and research that enrich the learning process.

The admissions department participated in the open day by providing students with information about programs, dates, admission forms and announcements. The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour & Social Affairs (MADLSA) was also present and provided students with requirements related to external and internal scholarships, conditions and sponsorship programs.

Professor Mariam Al-Ali Al-Maadeed, Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, said of the event, “The Open Day is one of the most important events held under the supervision of the graduate studies program, targeting all students both inside and outside the university. QU has a large selection of internationally competitive study programs that are enriched with diverse research, to develop the community and help with intellectual development.”

A series of awareness lectures were held on the sidelines of the event, such as how to prepare for a personal interview through the University’s Career Services Center. Topics also included awareness about scholarships from MADLSA, QU’s scholarship section and QU admissions section. Professor Mohamed Saadoun Al-Kuwari was present to talk about his experience in graduate studies and how it impacted his career.

The research and writing support section from graduate studies participated for the first time. The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) were invited in support of the areas of cooperation between educational institutions in the state.

Dr. Ahmed Elzatahry, Dean of Graduate Studies said, “We target all those who wish to complete their higher studies and who have the admission requirements that qualify them to enroll in the programs they wish. The graduate office is always supportive and supportive of students from the moment they are accepted.” Ghada Al-Kuwari, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs added, “We are always happy to meet with students and listen to them and to provide assistance in accordance with our terms of reference.”
