The College of Health Sciences (CHS) at Qatar University (QU) honored 217 of its outstanding female students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher in the Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 semesters, through an annual ceremony honoring Dean’s List students. The ceremony was held in the presence of families of the outstanding students.
The ceremony witnessed a wide attendance, including CHS Dean Dr. Hanan Abdul Rahim, Dr. Mohamed Ahmedna, Assistant Vice President for Academic Quality and Strategy, Dr. Layla Kamareddine, CHS Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, department heads, and several faculty and administrative staff members in the college.
Eman Al-Muhannadi, the host of the ceremony and a student in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, welcomed the guests with opening remarks, followed by a welcome speech from CHS Dean, Dr. Hanan Abdul Rahim .The ceremony also included speeches from the families of the students whose names were on the list, expressing their joy at this academic achievement, followed by the distribution of Dean’s List medals in honor of students’ efforts and academic success.
Dr. Hanan Abdul Rahim commented: “I am very proud of the high-quality programs the college offers, the efficiency of which the health sector attests to, and I am confident that the close cooperation between members of the teaching and student bodies is the main reason supporting these academic achievements. Congratulations to all our students who earned a place on the Dean's List.”
