QU Press Director and Oil & Gas Law Professor, Dr. Talal Abdulla Al-Emadi’s book, titled “Joint Venture Agreements in the Qatari Gas Industry: A Theoretical and an Empirical Analysis” is indexed in Scopus, the world's largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed research literature.
Scopus, by Elsevier, creates professional links between researchers, published ideas, and organizations. Data generated by Scopus is used to calculate influential rankings such as Times Higher Education, QS World University, US News & World Report, and Shanghai. Scopus performs a rigorous evaluation and selection process to ensure publications meet high-quality criteria required for acceptance.
The book is the first to showcase the "indigenous" Qatari energy industry and it was published in 2019 by Springer Nature. It is also part of the IEREK Interdisciplinary Series for Sustainable Development, namely Advances in Science, Technology & Innovation (ASTI). ASTI contributes to the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) as set out by the UN (United Nations) for 2030. The book was also reviewed in Oxford University Press World Energy Law & Business Journal, the official peer-reviewed journal of AIPN.
