Welcome to the website of the Office of Academic Affairs at the College of Pharmacy, Qatar University.
The Office of Academic Affairs oversees all academic-related programs, activities, and services that are in line with the college's mission of improving academic offerings while also meeting community needs.
Qatar University's College of Pharmacy offers a bachelor's degree in pharmacy (BSc) and a doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree, both of which are accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) until 2028. Another indicator of our strong academic programs is the College of Pharmacy's ranking among the top 150 pharmacy academic programs in the world, according to QS World University Ranking for 2024. The college also offers an MSc in Pharmacy and a PhD in Health through Qatar University Health Sector.
Our office is also eager to support the students academically by fostering an exceptional teaching environment that prepares students to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care and improve healthcare outcomes. In addition, for pharmacy students who require assistance, a Learning Support Unit has been established, supervised by a learning support specialist, to provide well-designed tutoring services.
The Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for fostering quality assurance of the College of Pharmacy's academic programs in accordance with Qatar University's standards and international accreditation agencies to ensure continuous quality improvement in the curriculum for BSc, PharmD, and MSc programs. Some of these quality assurance measures include coordinating assessments, updating study plans, managing curriculum issues, assisting at-risk students, and encouraging faculty development.
The key committees under our office include the Curriculum and Assessment Committee, the Peer Assessment of Teaching and Learning Enhancement Committee, the Exam Question Review Committee, and the Program Learning Outcomes Assessment Committee.
