    Applicants will typically have completed all required Pre-Pharmacy courses prior to application. For external applicants, the quality of the academic institution as well as rigor of the academic curriculum is also considered.

    QU students who intend to pursue a career in pharmacy are strongly encouraged to consider enrolment in the QU Honors Program prior to their application. As described on their website, the Honors program has been designed for highly motivated and academically inquisitive students looking for an enriching college experience. If you meet their admission requirements, they welcome your application. Acceptance into the QU Honors Program strengthens an application to our pharmacy degree program.

Student must maintain a good performance in order to be eligible to apply to Pharmacy Professional Year 1. All interviews are expected to be conducted during the month of May.

    How to Apply

    The application process officially opens in mid- spring semester of each year. The deadline for receipt of completed applications is by the end of spring semester.

    There are three stages to the application process:

    1. Application Stage

      If you are considering an application to the Qatar University College of Pharmacy, you must ensure that a complete application package is received by the Student Admissions Committee on or before the application deadline. Once received, a confirmation email will be sent to you. If you did not receive a confirmation email, you should contact the General Office immediately.

      A complete application package consists of the following:

      1. Application form which includes your personal statement and 2 personal photos;
      2. Copies of your final year high school course grades transcript;
      3. Copy of your official TOEFL (or IELTS) score;
      4. Two sealed letters of reference in the template provided by the college.

      It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure a complete application package is received. An incomplete application package will prevent an applicant from advancing to the next stage.

    2. Screen and Interview Stage

      Completed applications will be screened and selected applicants will be invited to interview. These interviews will be conducted at the Qatar University College of Pharmacy offices in Doha, Qatar. All associated expenses will be borne by the selected applicants. Not every applicant will be selected for an interview, but no applicant will be accepted without being interviewed. Interviews will commence after the application deadline, typically in May of each year.

    3. Selection and Offer Stage

      The Student Admissions Committee will identify the top applicants and offers of admission will be made in early July of each year. All applicants will be notified by email as to the outcome of their application and further instructions will be provided as required. Some offers of admission may be conditional.

    The Committee takes a number of factors into consideration during the review process. These factors include academic performance (course grades and credit-hours), TOEFL (or IELTS) scores, structured interview outcomes, letters of recommendation, personal statements, pharmacy experience (if applicable), leadership potential, emotional maturity, knowledge of the profession, and related academic and non-academic criteria.
