Qatar University along with the Primary Healthcare Corporation (PHCC) are committed to providing high-quality and integrated health care services, securing the safety and well-being of QU members and supporting Qatar University's mission on learning, research and contributing to the society in accordance with the policies and procedures set by Qatar Ministry of Public Health, as well as raising health awareness through providing a tailored health and wellness program.
Believing in the vital role that ministries and government entities play in serving the nation, QU is dedicated to support and promote working with the PHCC; thus, the University has officially moved the services of QU Health Clinic to QU Healthcare Center of PHCC.
Both QU and PHCC signed a memorandum of understanding on 3rd of May, 2020 based on which they established a cooperation partnership aimed at integrating, moving health services from QU Medical Clinic to QU PHCC and providing QU’s students (male, female) residing in the University’s housing as well QU staff with public health services. The QU Medical Clinic was closed at the end of May, 2020.
Qatar University Health Center provides free and wide-ranging medical care to all members of Qatar University including students, faculty, staff and visitors in accordance with the policies and procedures established by the Qatar Ministry of Public Health . All emergency cases are sent to Hamad Hospital by ambulance.
