    Coffee with an Alumnus

    Qatar University Alumni Association organized a coffee event with a graduate on Monday, April 15, 2019. The event was hosted by Ms. Hessa Ismail Faraj, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs at Qatar Secondary School.

    In an interview with Farah Al-Salamah from the College of Education, Ms. Hessa Faraj expressed her happiness and gratitude for returning to Qatar University, her mother university, and participating in this event, and praised the impressive developments witnessed by the University during the previous years.     Qatar University's Alumni Relations Office hosted HE Faleh Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Post as a guest of honor at the "Coffee with an Alumnus" event and university students.

    The event was designed students to benefit from the experiences of HE Mr. Faleh Al Nuaimi during his 25 years of career in government and semi-government in Qatar, especially after graduating from the Faculty of Management and Economics at Qatar University with a major in Public Administration in 1996.

    The last episode of "Coffee with an Alumnus" was held by Dr. Aisha Al Mannai, Member of the Shura Council and Director of the Center for Muslim Contributions to Civilization, Faculty of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hassan Al-Durham the QU President, Dean of the Faculty of Shari'a, Director of Outreach and Engagement Department, and a number of faculty members at Qatar University.     In the context of the interest of the Graduate Relations Office at the University of Qatar in communicating with the distinguished graduates of the university, the last episode of the "Coffee with an Alumnus" event was attended by Mr. Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, CEO of Qatar Development Bank, where he spoke to a large number of university students and employees about his educational journey. The meeting was attended by Dr. Khalid Al Khater, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dean of the College of Engineering Dr. Khalifa bin Nasser Al Khalifa and Dr. Nayef Bin Nahar, Assistant Dean for Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, Faculty of Sharia and Dr. Bader Al Ismail, Faculty of Management and Economics and Mr. Mohamed Mohannadi Director of Outreach and Engagement and faculty members at the University.     In the context of the interest of the Department of Public Relations and Communication (Alumni Relations Office) at Qatar University, in collaboration with the University's distinguished graduates, the last episode of the "Coffee with an Alumnus" event was hosted by HE Dr. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Muraikhi, the Humanitarian Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations. The meeting was attended by a number of faculty members from Qatar University, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Director General of the Department of Communication and Partnerships, and the Director of the Graduate Relations Office.     As part of its mission to strengthen relationships with university’s graduates and community’s leaders, Qatar University Alumni Association hosted on 22 December 2015 Dr. Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, President of the Community College to speak with Qatar University’s students about his academic career at Qatar University and his career in the education sector, and to share with students his scientific and practical experience.     On Tuesday, May 26, 2015, the Qatar University Alumni Association hosted HE Mr. Abdullah bin Khalid Al Qahtani, Qatar's Minister of Public Health, to speak with university’s students about his academic career at Qatar University and his professional career in the health sector.

    The Department of External Relations at Qatar University invited her highness Dr. Aisha Bint Faleh Al Thani, Chairperson of the Sponsors of the World Islamic Bid Conference and Board Member of Reach Out to Asia (ROTA). This meeting comes part of the "Coffee with an Alumnus" event, which is one of the most important events organized by the Department of Alumni Relations to keep university’s students in contact with the university’s graduates that are pioneers in the labor market. The event is also a part of Qatar University's interests in strengthening relationships between the university’s graduates and students. 

    Amna Sultan Al-Malki: I was invited to Qatar University to participate in the event “Coffee with a Alumnus” on 26/5/2014 with the guest – Sheikha/ Hanadi bint Nasser Al Thani, founder and chairman of the company "Amwal". The meeting started at eleven o'clock and it began by welcoming the guests then Ms. Hanadi gave her speech about her educational and professional path and how did she reach her goals by overcoming the difficulties and by being patient and striving to become a prominent figure in economic investment.

    His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, was elected as guest a in Qatar University as part of “A coffee with a graduate” event, that is organized by the Department of Alumni Relations, in the presence of Dr. Mazen Hassna, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Rashid Al-Amari, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Indian System Dean of the Faculty of Management and Economic. In addition to a selection of members of the Alumni Association and professors of Qatar University and a large number of students.

    Qatar University’s Alumni Association hosted Ms. Aisha Al Fardan, Vice Chairman of the Qatari Businesswomen's Association, in its "Coffee with Graduates" event, that is organized with the University's important Graduates. Which took place in the science building, with the presence of many of the university’s officials and employees and a large number of female students.

    Within the framework of the distinguished activities of the Alumni Relations Department at the External Relations Department at Qatar University, the Department hosted in its first sessions with distinguished distinguished graduates of Qatar University His Excellency Sultan Rashid Al-Khater, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Business and Commerce. HE Dr. Sheikha bint Abdullah Al-Misnad, President of Qatar University, and a number of university officials attended the event. The required level of scientific and qualifications that will enable them to contribute to the development of serious economic and community activities in the State of Qatar. This is not evidenced by looking at the hundreds or even thousands of graduates who hold important positions in the country and who make a serious contribution to the process of development, modernization and development.
