    Proposal Submission Guidelines

    The Qatar University Foundation Program invites presenters to submit proposals for its 5th Annual International (Virtual) Conference on Language Teaching to be held in Doha, Qatar November 7-8, 2020.

    Proposals for papers, panel discussions, workshops, teaching ideas, or tips are encouraged to address the conference theme:

    English Language Teaching and 21st Century Skills – Communicate, Collaborate, Create

    Proposal Types:

    • Interactive Workshop (25 minutes + 15 minutes Q&A)

    • Research/Approaches to Teaching (15 minutes + 10 minutes Q&A)

    • Panel Discussion (40 minutes + 20 minutes Q&A).

    Proposals should fall into one of the following categories:

    • Virtual Learning
    • Emotional Intelligence
    • Social & Emotional Learning
    • Critical Thinking
    • Creativity in TEFL setting
    • Digital Literacy
    • Learner Autonomy
    • Practical Ideas in the Online Classroom
    • Project-based Learning
    • Managing Virtual Classroom
    • Online Testing and Assessment
    • Online tools to enhance learning
    • Professional development
    • Leadership

    Tips for Writing Proposals

    • Title: 7 words maximum
    • Abstract: 50 words maximum. Published in the conference program.
    • Session description: 200 words maximum. Proposal review will be based on this.
    • Biography: 50 words

    Guidelines for Proposal Submission

    • Write your (first and last) names as you would want them to appear on your certificate
    • Proposals must be submitted through the online proposal submission form at the following link.
    • The session description must not exceed 200 words
    • Acronyms and/or abbreviations should be spelled out
    • Please refrain from submitting a proposal previously presented at another conference
    • The deadline for proposal submissions is September 15, 2020
