Welcome to the Center for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Excellence (CEOE) at College of Business and Economics, Qatar University. The mission of CEOE is to have a profound impact on the way organizations in Qatar conduct business and the way their business impacts Qatar, through outstanding research and policy works, experiential learning, distinctive capacity building, and community outreach. Given that Qatar, along with the rest of the region, is at the heart of developing a booming entrepreneurial hub that fosters sustainability and innovation, we inspire to create and apply new knowledge and to be engaged in value-added activities that contribute to enhancing organizational excellence, sustainable development and societal impact.
In order to accomplish its mission, the CEOE is subdivided into two interdependent and stand-alone units, namely (1) Research and Policy, (2) Case Study and Community Engagement. Each of these units will support College of Business and Economics in enabling production of outstanding research and policy work, encouraging experiential learning, providing a platform for distinctive capacity building, and enabling community outreach. Through the research and policy unit, the CEOE aims to develop research-informed knowledge and implications for business and state organizations in Qatar and the region by keeping up-to-date with trends in research and innovation. The case study and community engagement unit plays two connected roles. First, it provides a platform for the CBE faculty to write case studies and provide support in incorporating case studies into course curriculum. Second, it acts as an interface between College of Business and Economics and the business community in Qatar and the region to get involved in value-adding community engagement initiatives, disseminate knowledge and provide real business solutions for each associated entity whether it is a start-up, non-profit, large corporation or public organization.
