The Department of Finance and Economics provides students with knowledge, skills and values required to pursue professional careers in the finance, economics and banking sectors. The Department has two majors: Finance and Economics. Each major stresses critical thinking skills, cooperative learning, and the application of knowledge to solve business problems in Qatar and the GCC region. Undergraduate students gain relevant work experience in their major through the internship program.
Students from outside the Department of Finance and Economics can choose economics or finance as a minor. Job prospects for students of finance and economics are bright. Many graduates from our program hold prominent positions in the financial and banking sectors in Qatar.
