Special Issue of Studies in Business and Economics on:
The Accounting Environment in Qatar

Studies in Business and Economics (SBE) is a refereed journal published by the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University. The SBE journal is devoted to the advancement and dissemination of theoretical and applied knowledge in the areas of Accountancy, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems and related disciplines. SBE is pleased to inviting you to submit your research output to a Special Issue on “The Accounting Environment in Qatar”. The aim of this Special Issue is to shedding light on various aspects of the accounting environment in Qatar and to contribute to the knowledge production within the field of accounting. The issue will be dedicated to the following accounting topics:
- Financial reporting and capital markets,
- Management and cost accounting,
- Auditing,
- Accounting information systems,
- Accounting education,
- Environmental and social accounting,
- Accounting for non-profit organizations,
- Public sector accounting,
- Corporate governance,
- Ethics in accounting.
We seek papers that contribute to the theoretical and practical debate on the accounting environment in Qatar. The papers must conform to the specifications and requirements of SBE.
Manuscripts should be submitted by email to the Special Issue's guest editor, Dr. Husam Aldamen at haldamen@qu.edu.qa. All papers will be reviewed in accordance with the SBE journal normal processes. The final acceptance decision will be at the discretion of the SBE editor-in-chief.
