International prospective students who do not hold a valid residence permit in the state of Qatar (excluding GCC citizens) must fulfill one of the following criteria to be considered for admission to QU:

Paying Fee student (Study in QU Without scholarship): If the international prospective student is applying to study at his own expense, he must apply online for a
student visa under Qatar University sponsorship and upload the Required Documents during the same
admission timeline for international students.

Study in QU only when obtain a Scholarship: If the international prospective student is planning to study at Qatar University only when he obtains a
scholarship provided by Qatar University, he does not need to fill out and complete the visa application. The Scholarships and International Admissions Section will take the necessary procedures to issue a student visa for international students who receive a scholarship from Qatar University.
Note: The admission application from an international prospective student will not be considered if he does not include in one of the aforementioned category either by applying for student visa
OR for a scholarship.

Scholarships and International Admissions Section assists eligible international students who are seeking student visa from QU in order to enroll in an academic program at Qatar University such as (undergraduate, graduate and Arabic program for Non-native Speakers) as a paying fee student. Those interested students should Apply Online for the student visa and upload the Required Documents during the same
admission timeline for international students.
