    About the College


    The College of Education at Qatar University is the first higher education institution in the State of Qatar, established in 1973 by an Emiri decree to be the first higher education institution in the State of Qatar and the cornerstone to launch other sister colleges at the university in various disciplines.

    Even today it remains the only entity to prepare teachers in the country. The college is distinguished by its distinguished position as well as the responsibility that follows.

    The vision of the college is as follows:

    • To become the leading college in preparing specialists in education through distinguished education.

    • Leadership in shaping the future of Qatar.

    College Mission

    The College of Education is committed to excellence in the initial and advanced preparation of education professionals by promoting two processes of learning and teaching and promoting research and community partnerships. The college fulfills its commitment by providing:

    • Its members have an educational, motivational, and supportive environment for both learning and teaching in an atmosphere that mixes and balances modernity and preserves the Arab and Islamic identity.
    • To provide highly qualified education professionals, and continuous professional development by supporting scientific activities and sharing responsibility for modernizing the country through effective partnerships.

    • The Master of Arts in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

    • Diploma of Secondary Education

    • Diploma of Early Childhood

    The College of Education offers the following undergraduate degree programs:

    • Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education with four tracks
    • Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education with eight tracks
    • Bachelor of Education in Special Education with three tracks
