The Bachelor of Education in Primary Education program is offered by the College of Education in response to the current educational climate in the nation, which include shortages in qualified teachers for the Government Schools. No institution in Qatar other than Qatar University currently provides an undergraduate degree in teacher education.
The mission of this program is to produce a cadre of teachers who have the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to transform the vision of Qatar’s Education Reforms into reality.
The Bachelor of Education in Primary Education is benchmarked to Qatar National Professional Standards for Teachers and School Leaders and aligned with the standards of the Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI).
The program received National Recognition from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) in 2016.
