The College of Education is offering a Master of Arts in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. The program is planned and designed in light of the expected new roles and tasks of educators in Qatari Independent Schools, aligned with the College of Education (CED) Conceptual Framework and Student Learning Outcomes, the Qatar. The program is distinct in that it offers students the opportunity to develop in three important areas; curriculum, pedagogy and assessment through coursework. Two tracks are offered, research and project each requiring 30 credit hours. The research track allows individuals to develop in a more comprehensive manner in one of these areas by conducting research in an area that best meets their particular needs. The Masters of Arts in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment is designed to prepare effective educators who are committed to reform and continuous improvement of education.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to successfully contribute to education in the roles of teachers, coordinators and curriculum and assessment specialists at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the Evaluation and Education Institute.
Graduates will be capable of leading and transforming a wide variety of educational organization playing a vital role in educational reform in Qatar.

Admissions & How to Apply
All applicants to the Master of Arts in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment program must meet the admission requirement to Master programs as stipulated by the QU Admission Policy as well as the following requirements to be considered for admission to Qatar University:
- Completed a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80 out of 4.00 from a university or college accredited by an international accrediting association or by the Ministry of Higher Education or equivalent in that country.
- Achieved a minimum score of 52 in TOEFL iBT or equivalent test taken within 2 years of the start of the intended semester of admission OR earned a previous degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a Program where English was the language of instruction.
- Students with a minimum score of 45 in TOEFL iBT or equivalent test may be admitted to the program. Applicants must enrolled in an English for Special Purpose (ESP) course offered by the Foundation Program at Qatar University during their first semester in the Master’s program. Applicants must successful complete the ESP course with a minimum grade of C prior to taking the Masters courses that are taught in English.

How to Apply
For the graduate studies, Qatar University has adopted a policy of non-discrimination on the basis of race, gender or religion. Qatari and international students are admitted on a competitive basis according to individual merit, as determined by the university. Also, Qatar University ensures that all its facilities are accessible to special-needs students.
Applications for admission are normally accepted only for the Fall Semester, admission are not available for Spring Semester.
