Dr. Saeed Hashem Al Meer holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Wales, UK, a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry from Old Dominion University of Virginia, USA, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the College of Arts and Sciences in Qatar University. Dr. Saeed Al-Meer is currently an associate professor at the College of Arts and Sciences in Qatar University. He held a number of administrative positions in the university. He was appointed Head of the Department of Chemistry and Earth Sciences in 2004. He also held the position of Director of the Central Laboratories Unit in 2012.
During Dr. Al-Meer’s academic career, he participated and chaired many projects and committees at the university. In addition to his work as a consultant in the Ministries of Defense, Interior, and the Arms Prohibition Committee. Dr. Saeed Al-Meer has published more than 65 scientific papers published in international refereed and high impacted journals and registered a number of patents. Moreover, he participated in many research projects funded by the Qatar National Research Fund and Qatar University.
